While growing up, Dave spent half of his childhood immersed in the worlds of his favourite cartoons and the other half drawing the characters that he loved so much. As he grew older, illustration became an outlet to tell stories about – and also influenced by – comedy, hiphop and the good times working in hospitality.

How does Dave tell these stories? Through mischievous, expressive characters that have a mind of their own! Inspired by a play on words, retro illustration techniques and getting up to hijinks, Dave’s drawings often start with a catchphrase, quirky saying or cheeky expression that set the scene where his characters can interact and come to life.

With a decade’s worth of experience working as a graphic designer, Dave’s ability to seamlessly bring illustration and branding together with an injection of humour make him somewhat of a design gem 💎.
